Frequently asked questions
What the movement monitor checks, how explanations are formed, and what they do and don't mean.
Which companies are monitored?
The monitor scans current NSE-listed companies in our stock directory. Sector-specific research rules are applied when available, including the detailed NBFC driver framework.
What causes a company to appear?
The detector compares the latest two NSE closing prices. It applies the research brief's movement threshold for the company's index universe and displays qualifying moves of at least 2%.
How is the explanation produced?
The system checks current source headlines against NBFC drivers such as AUM growth, credit cost, asset quality, margins, funding costs and return ratios, plus macro and company-specific factors. AI summarises only that supplied evidence.
Does a headline prove what caused the move?
No. Timing alone does not establish causation. When the available sources do not support a clear explanation, the result is labelled cause unclear with low confidence.
What does fundamental versus market / technical mean?
Fundamental means the cited evidence indicates a change in the company's business, balance sheet or forward outlook. Market / technical means the evidence points to broader market action or positioning rather than a changed operating thesis. Mixed is used when both are present.
Do I need an account?
No. The latest price-movement explanations and their source links are publicly readable.
How do I get full access?
Invite three people who create an account through your link. There is no price — see the plans page for what each tier includes and to get your link.
Is this investment advice?
No. This is informational market-movement research. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell a security, and you should verify source material before making an investment decision.
Every explanation links back to the source headlines used.
